This year the McCarthy Toyota King of the Bay surf ski race is taking place on Sun 25 May 2008 @ 09h00

Title sponsor McCarthy Toyota has stepped up to the plate and we'd like to thank them for their generous sponsorship.

We are delighted to welcome two new race sponsors on board, LG and Bradcor and are equally pleased to say welcome back to A-Rite Airconditioning, Red 7 and Hansa!

The race has been incorporated into the Discovery Men’s Health Surf Ski series.

We are proud to tell you that the McCarthy Toyota King of the Bay has also been selected as the national surfski championships, which means we expect to see some fierce competition.

Expect to see the TV crews out on the water too because this year the race is being filmed for the new paddling TV show, Paddle Power.
